QR Promise
Guide · comparison
Looking for a qr.io alternative?
Need a qr.io alternative after codes were deactivated? QR Promise makes static QR codes in your browser that keep working forever after cancel. Card-required trial.
Our Promise
Static codes on QR Promise are generated in your browser, contain your data directly, and never route through us — so they can never be deactivated.
The complaint pattern
BBB reports describe users who created “free” codes, printed business cards, then found the codes inactive unless they paid. That is dynamic-trial behavior.
What is different here
QR Promise builds the code on your device. The pattern holds your URL or WiFi data. There is no redirect through qrpromise.com for Free codes.
Migration path
Use our Migrate page as a checklist: list every printed piece, regenerate static replacements, and plan Pro later if you want analytics.
Be fair about dynamic
Dynamic codes are useful when you need edits after print. Just buy them knowingly. Do not print a trial code on anything expensive.
