The service
QR Promise Pro is a paid product with a 7-day free trial that requires a card. After the trial, you are charged $3/mo automatically unless you cancel. We email a reminder about 3 days before the first charge. Cancel anytime in one click with the Cancel subscription button in your account dashboard. Use the Stripe Customer Portal to update your card and view invoices. The trial unlocks the static generator downloads and Pro dynamic codes with scan analytics.
Billing and cancellation
Checkout is handled by Stripe. A payment method is collected at trial start (payment_method_collection=always). If no payment method is on file at trial end, the subscription cancels instead of charging. Failed payments may pause Pro features until you update your card or cancel.
Our Promise (static codes)
Static codes you create are made on your device and store your content in the image itself. They keep working forever — including after you cancel — even if QR Promise goes offline, because we do not host that payload. We cannot control scanner apps, printers, or whether your destination site stays up. Dynamic short links (/r/…) require an active trial or subscription; when canceled they pause with an honest notice.
Acceptable use
Please do not use QR Promise for malware, phishing, scam payment links, or illegal content. We may block abusive traffic to the site.
Your Content and Data
Your Content is what you give us when you use Pro or other server-backed features — for example your account email, dynamic-code titles, and destination URLs. Usage Data is how the Service is used — for example when a Pro code is scanned, approximate country, and device class. Static QR payloads made entirely in your browser are never uploaded, so they are not Your Content here. See Excluded Data below.
1. License to us
You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant QR Promise a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable license to host, copy, process, analyze, modify, create derivative works from, and use Your Content and Usage Data to provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service and to develop new products and services.
2. AI and machine learning
We may use Your Content and Usage Data to train, test, evaluate and improve artificial intelligence and machine learning models — including models we use or provide to others — subject to Excluded Data and the choices in our Privacy Policy.
3. Aggregated and de-identified data
We may create aggregated, anonymized or de-identified data from Your Content and Usage Data (“Aggregated Data”). Aggregated Data does not identify you. We own Aggregated Data and may use, license, sell and otherwise commercialize it for any lawful purpose, during and after your use of the Service.
4. Sharing and sale of data
As described in our Privacy Policy, we may share or sell certain data, including personal information, with partners and other third parties. Where the law lets you opt out, you can do so anytime at Your Privacy Choices, on the opt-out form, or by emailing hello@qrpromise.com.
5. Survival
This section survives termination, except that after you delete your account we stop using identifiable data from that account for new model training and sharing, as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Excluded Data
- Static QR payloads. Content you type into the generator stays in your browser and is encoded into the downloaded image. We never receive that payload, so we do not sell, share, or use it to train AI.
- People who scan your codes. Personal information of people who scan your codes is excluded from sale. We may derive only Aggregated Data from scan events (for example counts by day, country, or device class).
This section does not override any law or platform policy that limits our use of Excluded Data. Account details, billing handled by Stripe, Pro destination URLs, and scan analytics for your Pro codes are covered by the license, AI, Aggregated Data, and sharing terms above, subject to your opt-out.
No warranties beyond the promise above
The generator and Pro features are provided as-is. We work to keep the site available, but site uptime is separate from the permanence of static codes you have already downloaded.
