Link a QR code to a PDF menu, brochure, or form. Host the file on a stable URL and use a free static QR that never expires.

Host the file first

Upload the PDF to your site or object storage with a permanent path. Encode that HTTPS URL — do not encode a file:// path.

Update without reprint

Replace the PDF at the same URL when content changes. The static QR keeps working.

Mobile UX

Large PDFs can be slow on cellular. Consider an HTML page that embeds or summarizes the PDF for phones.

Security note

Only link to PDFs you control. Scanners will open whatever URL you encode.
