Static codes on QR Promise are generated in your browser, contain your data directly, and never route through us — so they can never be deactivated.
Why codes “expire”
QR patterns do not expire by themselves. Expiration is a product choice: the company behind a dynamic redirect stops forwarding when the trial or subscription ends.
Replace the destination
Generate a new static code with QR Promise for the same final URL. Test on two phones. Print a sticker overlay if you cannot reprint the whole piece yet.
Events and weddings
If invites already went out, email or text guests the direct link while you reprint. Next time, generate the code the day you design the invite — with a static generator.
Our stance
QR Promise Free never puts a timer on static codes. We cannot deactivate what we never host.
