Yes. Starting a generator download or Pro features opens Stripe Checkout. Your card is collected for a 7-day free trial. $0 today; the first charge is $3 on day 8 unless you cancel.
When am I charged?
Automatically on day 8 at $3/month (America/New_York) unless you cancel. We email a reminder about 3 days before.
How do I cancel?
One click on Cancel subscription in your account dashboard. The Stripe Customer Portal is for updating your card and viewing invoices.
Do my static codes die if I cancel?
No. Static codes store the data in the image. They keep working forever. Dynamic short links pause when the subscription is not active.
What is the Code Health Monitor?
For dynamic codes with an active trial or Pro, we check destination URLs and email you if the page behind a printed code goes down — so you can fix the link without reprinting.
Can I migrate codes from another tool?
Yes. Use Migrate to paste competitor short links or a CSV. We follow redirects to the live destination (with private-host blocking) and recreate codes on QR Promise.
Is there a free plan without a card?
No. Preview is free in the browser. Creating downloads and Pro features require the card-required 7-day trial, then $3/mo.
Do I need a card for the trial? (pricing detail)
Yes. Stripe Checkout collects a card with payment_method_collection=always. If the card is missing at trial end, the subscription cancels instead of charging.
What happens to my codes if I cancel?
Static codes already created keep working forever. Dynamic short links pause until you resubscribe.
